I started making teddy bears after having worked with dolls' houses and miniatures for some years. I have always been very fond of various kinds of hand crafts. One day I felt, that I had to try making a teddy bear, which was one thing I had never done before. One bear lead to another - and I have been making bears ever since! After one year I went to an international show and I found that people wanted to buy my bears. This has brought a whole new dimension into bear making, and I enjoy it. My bears are mostly one-of-a-kind as I want to give each bear a unique personality.Over the years I have made quite a few dolls, but bear making has taken most of my time. On a Doll and Teddy Bear Show in 2006 I first saw these reborn/newborn dolls. My immediate reaction was that they were too real, but at the same time very fascinating. Seeing the dolls again on the Internet half a year later I was sold. I just had to try making one of these dolls. I attended a course and made my first doll.
